Autocross class?

Simple question that I can't find a simple answer to? What class does the supercharger put our cars into?

That would be STREET MOD(SM), or DM(D-MOD). Gut your interior, hello EM(E-MOD).

Theres some pretty good competion that comes in those MOD classes...Sooo, youll basically need EVERYTHING done to your car to PAX high, or get up in the FTD(Fast Time of Day)standings.

Well, Yesterday was my first autocross and I was put into STX. I had no idea where I was suppose to be and half way thru the event someone began to complain about what class I was in.

Anyway, the day was a blast. I hung with some of the awd dsm-ers. My only question is how do I get my power to the ground. In second gear at mid to full throttle I spun the tires the entire time.

I'm decent at drag racing, and have always been able to be at the top of the range for my setup. Stock CRX's and Prelude's were running the same times as me. I know experience will help, any other suggestions?

It's been a while since I autocrossed with the SCCA, but in the past, GSRs would be in either SM or EM. (The conversion factor for forced induction mods would bump out 1.8L engines into the EM range.)

As far as the lack of traction, LSD is the only way to go unless you want to spend your entire time feathering the throttle through every transition.

we get thrown into the no holds barred groups which basically let everything be done to your car.

I ran my first autoX a few weeks ago with the SC, and I have barely anything else done to it.
I would've had to run in Open Street class for the league i was in, which was almost no holds barred for mods i believe.
Luckily it was my first time so I ran Novice.
beat by a 2 seconds by a WRX, and like .7 seconds out from getting a trophy cuz a stock s2000 beat me.
There was another GSR, with a fully done up suspension and an experienced driver whose runs were consistently 4 or so seconds quicker than mine, so I guess that shows me what I need next.

oh well. it was fun and hopefully I'll have some suspension stuff done come next spring.
